Yuki LEUNG
Executive Officer, Department of Clinical Experience
I am a CUHK final-year medical student and currently helping in the Department of Clinical Experience as an executive officer. Together with other committee members, I am now studying sleep medicine, and find this very interesting.
I have always been fascinated by the complexity of neuroscience. We all have similar brain structures, but different individuals have completely different ways of thinking, emotions and personalities. Is it solely because of our past experience, or do connection of neurons and transmission of neurotransmitters also play a part in this? Through learning and exploring neuroscience, more mysteries of brain have been uncovered. I hope as a medical student, apart from understanding more on neuroscience ourselves, I can also promote its significance to the public, and contribute to the scientific community.
