Elaine TIAN

Financial Secretary, Department of Clinical Experience

I am a fourth-year medical student at the University of Hong Kong. The world of neuroscience has always been intriguing to me, because of how much there is still to learn about how the brain works. I am particularly interested in psychiatric disorders – the physiological causes of these symptom-based conditions, and how research in this area can translate to developing more refined and effective treatments for patients.

As a member of HKSAN, I hope to cultivate interest in neuroscience amongst the medical student population, and to connect with students and professionals with a shared passion for this field. Being part of the Department of Clinical Experience, I aspire to create more opportunities for students to see how neuroscience is applied in the real world setting, and the novel modes of treatment being used today.
