Maxwell CHOI

Hi, I’m Maxwell! My friends typically call me Max. As a third-year medical student, I will be entering my final year of pre-clinical medical studies, which cover some foundation knowledge about head and neck anatomy, as well as neurophysiology. But for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been passionate towards anything brain-related; from clinical neuroscience to neurosurgery, the mysteries of the human brain never cease to amaze me. Specifically, I am currently involved in research on molecular diagnostics applied in the classification of brain tumors, which have immense prognostic and therapeutic significance. In fact, I aspire to be an academic neurosurgeon.

I am extremely glad to have joined HKSAN 2020-2021 as part of the Founding Committee! As an Executive Officer of the Department of Clinical Experience, I will help organize clinical attachments in the fields of neurosurgery, neurology and psychiatry for pre-clinical students who are passionate towards clinical neuroscience, so that they can further explore their interests.
