Zac LAU

Zachary is a CUHK medical student currently taking a gap year for the MSc in Research Medicine. He aspires to be an academic neurosurgeon in the future. Neuroscience and neurosurgery are inextricably bound. Advancements in science, technology, and engineering have constantly propelled the development of neurosurgery, improved the wellbeing and quality of life of patients. He is currently working in Prof. Owen Ko’s lab on tissue clearing and staining optimisation. In his free time, he has a great interest in coffee and wine tasting. He believes in the importance of maintaining a good work-life balance, which has prevented him from being burnt out by the stress from the daily work.
